AP 220: Extra-Curricular Interscholastic Programs

Background

The Division believes student participation in a variety of school activities which are outside the scope of the regular instructional program help:

  1. Develop social, citizenship and leadership skills;
  2. Promote school spirit and morale;
  3. Broaden student experiences; and
  4. Demonstrate school achievements to the community.

The Division further believes extra-curricular and interscholastic programs provide a
positive learning experience.

Procedures

  1. The Superintendent expects extra-curricular programs to occur at times that
    minimize interruption of the daily instructional program either through the absence of
    the teacher or through the absence of the student.
