The Northern Lights School Division is composed of the former Lac La Biche School Division and the former Lakeland Public School District. Under Ministerial Order #141/94, the Northern Lights School Division was created. Northern Lights School Division consists of 26 schools and 3 division offices in a widely dispersed geographical locations. Schools are in the City of Cold Lake, Town of Bonnyville, the villages of Glendon and Plamondon, Kikino Metis Settlement and the hamlets of Lac La Biche, Caslan and rural areas of Ardmore, Iron River and Wandering River.
